Katia Garza ::

Katia began her training in the Escuela Superior de Musica y Danza in Mexico. In 1995, she joined Ballet of Monterrey and was promoted to soloist and then became a principal dancer under the direction of Fernando Bujones. In 1998, she was invited as a guest artist to perform with the Ballet Theatre of Lexington, Panama’s Ballet Company, and Mexico City National Ballet Company. Katia won the silver medal in the International Ballet Competition in Peru and was a finalist at the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, MS, along with Sergiu Brindusa. This will be her sixth season with Orlando Ballet. Katia is married to company member Israel Rodriguez.
