Summer Intensive
The OBS Summer Intensive is for intermediate through advanced students ages 11 and up. International guest teachers supplement our professional staff. Classes in ballet, pointe, variations, modern, jazz, men’s and partnering are offered. Students participate in an average of six hours of daily training Monday through Saturday. Student housing, transportation, and supervision are offered for participants. Structured recreational time and several trips to major theme parks are also included as an option. Only exceptional students will be selected from a combination of national auditions and mailed applications.

2013 Summer Intensive Information

The two-week 2013 Summer Intensive in Jacksonville will take place June 10 –22, 2013 with dormitory resident check in on June 9 and check out on June, 22.

The five-week 2013 Summer Intensive in Orlando will be take place June 24 – July 26, 2013 with dormitory resident check in on June 23 and check out on July, 27.

Extended Session • May 28 - June 20, 2013 and August 5-15*
This program allows students in Levels 3 & up to maintain their training regime through weekday classes at our Central Campus during the break between summer intensive programs and our school year. This is a great and affordable way to stay in shape and improve technique.

Two classes per day, Monday-Thursday; ballet technique from 4:30-6:00pm and pointe/mens or conditioning from 6:00-7:00pm. $12 for single classes (not per day) or $80 for the full week (8 total classes). Advanced registration is not required. Please note that there are no classes on Memorial Day—Monday, May 28th.

Junior Intensive • June 10-21, 2013*
This day camp has fun filled days with classes at our Central, and South Campuses including ballet, jazz, and musical theatre. It is targeted to beginning and intermediate students ages 7 through 12. Students can participate in half or full-day sessions. After technique classes are completed, students can have fun with acting classes, arts and crafts, games, and movies.

Young Summer Dancers • June 3-July 27, 2013*
This program offers weekly classes for students ages 3-6. Continuing students and new students are welcome to take classes on a week-to-week basis or for the entire 8-week session. Classes will be offered at the Central, Seminole, and South OBS Campuses.

Intro Intensive • June 24-July 26, 2013*
This program allows for continued training for intermediate students in the Preparatory Level through Level 3. These evening classes take place throughout the summer at the Central OBS Campus.

Jr. Intensive Workshop • July 1-26, 2013*
This full day program allows for diversified training for intermediate students from the Preparatory Level through Level 2. Students continue their ballet curriculum, but have the opportunity to further explore jazz, musical theater and lyrical styles while also creating the sets and costumes for their final performance at the Seminole OBS Campus.

Open Adult Classes • Various Dates
Open adult classes in ballet, ballroom, jazz and Flamenco will be offered at all OBS locations.
